It is easier than you think

  • Transferring your credits to Tiffin University is a simple process. Once we receive transcripts from all previously attended institutions we will work on completing a transcript evaluation. This will allow you to know how your credits will transfer to Tiffin University and what courses you would have remaining to complete your degree.
  • Scholarships are available to qualified students.

Transfer Requirements

Transfer students seeking admission with 12 or more transferable credits will be required to submit their previous college transcripts, so long as the following is true:

    • Transferable credits must be earned from regionally accredited institutions of higher education.

    • The high school transcript may be required if transfer students have not met other admission criteria, such as minimum GPA requirements of a 2.0.

The Transfer Process

  1. Apply to Tiffin University.
  2. Request official transcripts from high school and all institutions previously attended.  If you have earned an Associate’s degree Tiffin University does not need your official high school transcript.
  3. Schedule a campus visit.
  4. Meet with your Transfer Admissions Counselor to review your admissions file.

Tiffin University is a member of the Ohio Consortium for Transfer Pathways to the Liberal Arts, a group of 25 two-year and four-year colleges working together to provide clear, consistent transfer pathways in biology, English and psychology for community college students transferring to Tiffin University and other private colleges in Ohio. These transfer pathways align with the Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways (OGTPs) in biology, English and psychology, ensuring that associate degrees from Ohio’s community colleges provide a clear path to colleges and universities across Ohio.

Tiffin University and other partner institutions signed a Transfer Pledge as our commitment to your success as a transfer student.

Tiffin University has approved transfer pathways in English, biology and psychology.  You’ll be right on track to graduate with your bachelor’s degree!

Here are the benefits for you:

  • Transfer pathways give you clarity in the courses you take from many different community colleges and assurance that your courses will transfer smoothly toward your bachelor’s degree at Tiffin University
  • You’ll transfer with introductory major and most general education courses complete.
  • With the associate degree and transfer pathway, students can transfer to Tiffin University as a college junior, with maximum credit counting toward the major and bachelor’s degree. Check with a transfer advisor to make sure you meet GPA and other admission requirements.
  • Once you’ve enrolled at Tiffin University, you can complete your bachelor’s degree in as little as two years, enrolled as a full-time student.
